Composting

Commercially prepared compost is widely used by agriculturists, horticulturists, landscapers, and a wide variety of other users. As such it is subject to inter and intrastate transit and is used extensively on private and public land. Detailed testing of compost is necessary to assure that safety and market claims and to assure compliance with state and federal regulations and permit requirements.

The US Composting Council has developed standardized procedures for evaluating compost to assure that these requirements are met. Northeast Laboratories is pleased to announced that these testing procedures are now being offered.
